Michigan State Law requires that all dogs over four (4) months old be
To obtain a dog license, you will need to provide proof of current rabies
vaccination and proof of spaying/neutering (if applicable) at the time you
purchase the license. By State Statute, this information must be
provided EVERY time you renew your dog license.
The Deerfield Township Treasurer's Office is proud to announce a new on-line service that allows you to purchase your new or renewal dog licenses. Additionally, you'll be able to look up owner information for a found dog, using their dog license number.

* The rabies vaccination must be valid for the entire 3 year period.

Dog licenses now expire when the rabies vaccination expires. Expirations extend to the MONTH of the current rabies vaccination date. The County Treasurer will send reminder postcards 60 days prior to the rabies expiration.
Summer Tax collection:
Taxpayers may defer their summer property tax if they meet the following criteria:
Payment may be defered until February 28th (must be recieved by February 28th in order to avoid penalties and interest)
